    Great place and perfectly safe.

Great place and perfectly safe. The beaches close by were beautiful and almost empty. There were extremes price-wise with Braddie’s to the left of the property which was just great, extraordinarily cheap, cheerful and full of locals, the food was also really good value. At the other end was The Fish Pot, which was also amazing but right at the opposite end of the cost scale! Pauline at the apartment we rented at Miri Joy was as good a host as we’ve had at any property across the world. Very generous with her time and help, organising taxis, taking us to Animal Flower Cave, use of the apartment on out last day as we had a late flight etc and i wouldn’t hesitate to stay there again should we visit that path of the island once more.

It not big city and better for it.

It not big city and better for it. Easy to get to, lovely quiet safe beaches even at peak time. Excellent bars and resteraunts with lovely food and drink without the tourist prices. Used the local buses to get around as well as taxis. No problems, the busses are fun, especially the yellow ones.

We loved the bars at Six Mans - Speightstown has obviously suffered a bit with Covid but the vibe is still there. The beach is still our favourite and the Barefoot on the Sand bar offering sun beds was a plus. Local & Co is a very relaxed but well run establishment.

    We loved the location.

We loved the location. We stayed during early December and the Resort was very quiet which was perfect for us as it gave us plenty of room on the beach and around the pool. Our apartment was very comfortable and we had lovely maid service on a daily basis. All the staff were extremely helpful. We hired a car for our stay. We ate locally and sometimes cooked in our apartment. Good Fish market just down the road.. Going back next year hopefully!

St Peter is an ideal location in Barbados from which to explore. North is Speightstown and south is Holetown, so good options either way for more restaurants. Sea Shed is a new beach bar restaurant which is excellent, plus there are many other more local to choose from. Also great walking along the beach from here.
